The diary shows that Ben's ancestor could be involved in the assassination of Abrahim Lincoln's death. Determine to clear his family name, Ben seeks help with his family, Ben Abigail (Diane Kruger) and partner, Riley Poole to solve the mystery.
Interesting to note : There's a smaller size statue of liberty located in Paris.

Financial Freedom - 13 Dec Meteorite, Geminid
Last night, I laid out a bench and placed outside my house to view meteorite, Geminid in the sky. Some what disappointed as I managed to spot only 2 for about about 1 and half hours. I started watching at 12am - 1.45am before knocked out in bed. In the past, I'm able to catch a good view but not now as the two new bright lamps situated near my area was hindering...sigh.. I've read from http://www.singastro.org/ , meteorite peak will be today, which is 14th Dec. This might be a good opportunity for me once again as I'm going for company dinner held in Sentosa, located at hilltop.

Financial Freedom - Kayak 1 Star Course At Mac Ritchie Day 2
Finally it's our last day of kayak 1 star course. Today's program was to learn the various methods of rescue for individual and with assistance.
Our first day of learning planned capsized was used when we were required to act as victims. One will be the rescuer and another the assistance. Only the rescuer will sound out instructions to both parties. First step, was to keep close to the victim and ensure he was safe and sound. Next, hand over his/her paddle before letting him/her swim towards the rescuer bow. Assistant was to stay side by side of rescuer and support rescuer by moving the paddles behind him/her and grab both hands along the comb of rescuer's kayak. Rescuers will then adjust the kayak to form a "T" with bow facing him/her and lifted up closed to the cockpit. Jerk upwards twice or thrice, to and fro to allow the water to be released out before flipping back the kayak. Lastly, rescuer has to grab hold two corners of the comb in order for the victim to slide to his/her kayak. A thing to note as victim when entering back in kayak : Lay flat by looking upwards and tuck your legs in the kayak before sliding in.
In the afternoon, our instructor took us to explore around Mac Ritchie. It was a fun and enriching experience especially kayaking in the cool raining weather and mammals like turtles could be found swimming near. The amazing of nature I've seen was when during drizzling, droplets that hit the water became "crystals" or small balls floating along the water.. Its awesome !

Financial Freedom - Jet Ski At Batam View Resort
Batam View Resort Layout
On the 1st and 2nd December, went Batam View Resort for jet ski. S$50 for 1/2 hr accompanied by a instructor who will seat behind you. We tried the 1/2 hr ride and its AWESOME !
Batam View Resort Hotel Booking
Start and stop buttons are located at the left handle. A chain is attached between the instructor hand and the knob on the handle. This is to ensure the jet ski came to a halt if the chain is released. Maneuver of the jet ski is very similar to a motorbike. Only difference is there's only a right side "brake" which act as an accelerator. To stop, simply release. As a beginner, I did some practise around the enclosed area before moving to the open sea. Once at open sea, I started pressing harder at the "brake" to gain higher speed. REAL COOL AND SHIOK ! However, all good things always come to a short end as we are caught by an increasing high tide weather. This was quite an experience which the tide was about 3-4 metres high. Its like riding "Viking". Feeling unbalance, I was instructed to return back to the enclosed beach.
Overall, I enjoyed every moment even though its just 1/2 hr ride. Its the speed and freedom that u felt while jet ski.

Financial Freedom - Takaya Bistro At Thomson
Yesterday night, went dining at Takaya Bistro. As its pretty late (about 10 pm), meals were limited, only a total of 7-8 ramens and side dishes choose from. Sushis are't available too. We ordered 2 Tori Teriyaki Ramen(1 for $3.50), 1 bottle of Ume Sake($15.00), 1 Age Gyoza($3.00). Waited for quite a while before our orders were served. The ramen was much more supple and smooth compared from other chain outlets. For those who would like to go for little alcohol content and not so bitter taste, japanese made wine would be a better choice. HSBC holders will enjoy 20% discount off on their ala carte. There's a 10% service charge.

Financial Freedom - Napa Valley Wine Tasting At Civil Service Club
Last night, my friends and I went for wine tasting at Bukit Batok CSC club. It was a great experience as a beginner learning to appreciate wine. Per person is only $35 for non member. We got to taste these few US premium wines which they are Hestan Cabernet Sauvignon, Hestan Chardonnay and Meyer Cabernet Sauvignon. Our instructor, Jeffrey Soh share with us on the usage of different glasses and also on techniques like munching of bread to clear off the tastes when going for wine tasting. He also touches on how to judge alcohol content just by swirling the glasses for "tear drop".
There's more affordable wine tasting workshops available at http://www.csc.gov.sg/

Financial Freedom - The Movie Stardust
Its a company event and we got to watch the movie for free. It's a romance story between mortals and humans. Claire Danes starring as Yvaine, a fallen star, crashes into a magical kingdom. The adventure starts when the king summoned his sons, whoever found the fallen star will be his heir to the throne. On the other hand, Michelle Pfeiffer, who played as a witch and together with her 2 sisters desperately need Yvaine's heart in order to achieve eternal youth and beauty..Charlie Cox who act as Tristan, sets out to protect Yvaine and brings her back to show her true love, Victoria....
I feel its more suitable for the kids. Similar to Harry Potter and Peter Pan ...There's fairytales adventures and creative witchcrafts..I don't really like the show as compared to Lord Of The Rings.

Financial Freedom - Howard Hughes
Howard Hughes was born with a silver spoon. After inheriting 75% of his late father's multi billion fortune, he soon dropped out from Rice University, married and moved from Houston to Hollywood hoping to make a name for himself making movies.
Hughes's move is right.. He produced quite a number of success movies like Everybody's Acting and Hell's Angels . He had spent a then-unheard-of $3.8 million of his own money on Hell's Angels.
Hughes was also into aviation. He set many world records which he designed and built several aircraft himself. Hughes ownership and plans of TWA had a clash with Pan Am on international air travel.
Unfortunately, Hughes suffered obsessive-compulsive disorder.."he was obsessed with the size of peas—one of his favorite foods—and used a special fork to sort them by size before he ate. While producing The Outlaw, Hughes became obsessed by a minor flaw in one of Jane Russell's blouses, claiming that the fabric bunched up along a seam and gave the appearance of two nipples on each of Russell's breasts. He was reportedly so concerned by the matter as to write a detailed memorandum to the film crew on how to fix the problem." Source from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Hughes
Hughes died on April 5 1976. Although many percieved him as a "weirdo", but his contributions had helped the entertainment and aviation industries soar to a greater height.

Financial Freedom - “Anything” and “Whatever"
Mr Robert Tan, the Managing Director of Out Of The Box Pte Ltd started this concept when he and his friends often encounter replies like "Anything" or "Whatever" when one being asked what beverage he/she would like to have. That's how Mr Robert Tan used these 2 words to his own branding of can drink.
Whatever : Non-Carbonated drink i.e. Tea (you may get apple tea, lemon tea ..... etc). Anything : Carbonate drink (you may get coke with lemon ..... etc)
My curiousity has made me wanna try out the drinks. Guess what, I chose the "Whatever" drink and its barley.

Financial Freedom - A Different Business From The Norms
Came across this article from our local newspaper, thought would be interesting to have it posted in this blog. This person known as Mr Ronnie Pang, was the man behind the sex tour business in Singapore. He wanted to make "business out of a hobby".
Mr Pang's business is conducting tour to sex conventions and erotica shows in the US. He market his campaigns by giving out flyers and emails. The trip cost about US$2000-$3500 and there's one rule to be obeyed. That is NO hanky-panky business is allowed.
I feel that this kind of activities should be discouraged. Agreed with this financial advisor who was interviewed by the press on this issue, he stated ".....Even if there are no sexual activities involved, these tours encourage Singaporeans to look at females as sexual objects and that in turn ruins our Asian upbringing."

Financial Freedom - Internet Guru Stephen Pierce
Stephen Pierce is one of the most highly respected internet marketers which earn millions of dollars from the online world. However , his past was not at all well ...
Stephen Pierce was a problem child. He was so violent that his family kicked him out of their apartment because of his actions. Dropout during high school and started turning to crime, drug dealing and became a gang member.
A Twice bankrupt businessman and was forced to sleep in the streets. Stephen finally wised up when a bullet missed his head and penetrated his thigh. (The mark is still there to remind him of the mistakes he had done.)
Stephen was being introduced to futures and commodities markets with Ken Roberts.
From curiousity to attraction, he started learning how to do market analyses and often going online to communicate his trading ideas. Soon, they became very popular. The idea of making money online was not seeded until a person offered $5,000 US, in return asking a demonstration on how they select their trades. From then on, they started having a premium trading service and was earning $35,000US a month. Next, they published their own e-book on swing trading and in just 40 days, their profit was close to like $50,000US ! ..that's how it all started.

Financial Freedom - Richard Branson
Almost every articles I've read, successful entrepreneurs and billionaires are either graduated or were given an opportunity to study in prestigious universities (which they rejected)..I felt that these people have a certain calibre as they have made it to these schools, thus their success is not of a surprise.Richard Branson in a way represented us, the " norms" .. He was not the typical school whizz in school. In fact , he was considered the " notorious" type of student. Richard Branson received a note from his headmaster : " Congratulations, Branson. I predict that you will either go to prison or become a millionaire." Dropped out of school when he was 15. Has dyslexic. Dyslexic is someone having difficulty in reading , poor organisation or short-term memory problems. Hate Maths subject.Took him years to work out the difference between net and gross. Been caught by customs.Reason : to avoid taxes ( He used to deliver records in his early days). Spent the night in prison and paid £53,000 as part of an out-of-court settlement to avoid a criminal record. Took about six or seven attempts to obtain his driving license.
Richard Branson guts is most commendable. Action will be done once his ideas is set. I had read books and articles even from friends stating to weigh the potential , calculate the profit and loss before venturing ..blah blah ...and some of them were real proud thinking they are the " prodigy of business " and the sad fact is SORRY, YOU GUYS ARE NOT !
Richard Branson set up business objectives is not so much of money , rather HIS PASSION ! I've worked for several companies in Singapore and sad to say many top management staff focus on money than customers and employees. A slight economy downturn and you might be on the chopping list.
Below are the companies Richard Branson has start from scratch :
Virgin Atlantic - An international airline flying to many major destinations.
Virgin Megastores - Music Super-markets located in major locations in the UK, USA and Australia.
Virgin Books - Publisher and distributor of books.
Virgin Credit Card - Branson's attempt to provide credit card at a reasonable price.
Virgin Holidays - Book a holiday and fly Virgin Atlantic?
Virgin Trains - Virgin making trains sexy in the United Kingdom.
V2 Music - Largest UK based independent recording label.
Virgin Active - Chain of fitness clubs throughout the United Kingdom.
Virgin Galactic - Branson's planned affordable flight to space venture.
Ulusaba - Luxury game reserve located in South Africa.
Necker Island - Branson's own private island located in the British Virgin Islands.

Your Financial Freedom Might Comes From Trash
Finanicial FReedom Might Come From Trash ??? Yes its one of the way to earn BIG Bucks NOW ! Saw an article on Forbes Asia, theres huge money to be made in clearing of garbage especially in Asia country . China alone generates 190 millions tons of trash. Better still, if theres a way to have it recycled rather than building incinerator or wastewater facility, squeezing in the next top ten riches should'nt be a problem.

who worked closely with those MD and GM from SME and majority of them are from
the top few secondary schools to Universities ..So far I have yet to see one which screw up in their studies and able to earn big bucks in this society ...So does this means " HighIQ = $$ "
